Relief for Inflammation, Pain & Autoimmune Conditions
Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) is a compounded version of the prescription drug naltrexone, made at much lower doses (0.5–4.5 mg). While high-dose naltrexone is FDA-approved for addiction, LDN is used off-label to help modulate the immune system and reduce inflammation. Patients and providers are turning to LDN for conditions ranging from autoimmune disease to chronic pain.
LDN temporarily blocks opioid receptors, prompting the body to increase production of endorphins—your natural pain and immune regulators. The result is improved immune function, reduced inflammation, and symptom relief for a range of chronic conditions.
Though not FDA-approved for these uses, LDN is being used to support treatment for:
• Start low, go slow: Initial dose often 0.5–1 mg, titrated up
• Improvements may take weeks or months
• Works best with long-term use
• Dosing is personalized for each patient
• Close monitoring recommended for thyroid or autoimmune conditions
Side effects from Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) are generally mild and uncommon, especially compared to traditional immunosuppressants or pain medications.
Serious side effects are very rare.
LDN is considered extremely safe at low doses (0.5–4.5 mg). It is not known to cause organ damage, dependence, or significant long-term effects in clinical use.
Avoid if taking:
• Opioids (oxycodone, morphine, hydrocodone)
• Codeine-containing cough medications
Use caution with:
• Immunosuppressants
Low Dose Naltrexone isn’t available in standard pharmacies. It must be compounded for each patient.
