Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN)

Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN)

Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN)

Low Dose Naltrexone increases endorphin release which can modulate immune response and decrease pain. LDN is being used as a regulator of the immune system, providing relief to patients with autoimmune diseases and central nervous system disorders.  LDN is commonly used for Chronic Fatigue, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's, HIV, Chronic Pain, Fibromyalgia, IBS, ALS, autoimmune thyroid diseases and various cancers.  LDN is only available at a compounding pharmacy.

Bioidentical Hormones

Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN)

Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN)

Every person is unique; their hormone therapy should be too!  Bioidentical hormone prescriptions may include combinations of estradiol, estriol, estrone, progesterone, testosterone and DHEA in the exact strength and dosage form that best fit an individual patient.  Dosage forms include capsules, troches, gummies, creams, ointments, gels, vaginal creams and suppositories. A compounding pharmacist works with a prescriber and patient to formulate a unique medication.

Allergen Free Medications

Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN)

Allergen Free Medications

It's ironic that something you could take to improve your health actually could make you sick.  But if you have food allergies it's a real possibility: fillers, binders, and other ingredients in both prescription and over-the-counter medications often contain common hidden allergens.  If you are allergic to an inactive ingredient, such as a preservative or dye, our pharmacist can make that medication without that ingredient.  Medications can be made free of gluten, corn, soy, dairy, dyes, sugar, preservatives and animal products.

Veterinary Medications

Veterinary Medications

Allergen Free Medications

Have you ever tried to give a cat a pill?  You don't have to in some cases.  Medications like methimazole, fluoxetine, amitriptyline, prednisolone, amlodipine, benazepril, famotidine and others can be made into a topical gel that is applied to the inside hairless flap of the ear.  Oral medications for pets can be made into tasty treats in your pets favorite flavor.

Hospice & End of life

Symptoms of testosterone deficiency include: weakness, fatigue, reduced libido, osteoporosis, depressed mood, loss of energy, erectile dysfunction, aches and pains. Testosterone USP is natural testosterone that has been approved by the United States Pharmacopoeia and is available as a pure chemical. Upon a prescription order, a compounding pharmacy can use Testosterone USP to prepare numerous dosage forms.

Hospice & End of life

Hospice & End of life

Every individual is unique, and experiences during the  end of life vary. Many Hospice patients experience pain, anxiety, nausea, vomiting and constipation.  All of these difficult issues are usually coupled with an inability to swallow which makes taking necessary medications almost impossible.  Hospice patients may benefit from the following compounds: transdermal pain gels, sub-lingual drops, suppositories, and oral troches.

Thyroid Dysfunction

Thyroid Dysfunction

Thyroid Dysfunction

Certain forms and strengths of natural porcine thyroid are available only through compounding pharmacies due to commercial drug shortages. In addition, we can blend levothyroxine and liothyronine pure powders in a specific ratio by prescription.  Your prescriber can customize your prescription to your optimal level of T3 and T4.  We have Nature Throid in stock!

Pediatrics

Thyroid Dysfunction

Thyroid Dysfunction

We work with prescribers, children and their families to customize prescriptions to address the unique needs of pediatric patients such as inability to swallow solid pills, and dislike of taste or texture. Our pharmacist uses flavorings chosen with the child and creates dosage forms that fit the child's preferences. One of our favorites is rootbeer-marshmellow!  Kid friendly dosage forms include gummies, tasty liquids and topical creams.

Pain Management

Thyroid Dysfunction

Pain Management

Customized pain remedies use the active ingredients of pain medications, but do so in alternative forms such as creams and gels that are applied directly to the pain. This helps greatly reduce stomach irritation and other unwanted side effects, while delivering more medication where it is actually needed.  Compounded topical creams can be formulated for pain relief, inflammation, neuropathy, muscle spasms, fibromyalgia, shingles, migraine and acute sport injuries.

Dentistry

Pain Management

Good oral health is important to the body's overall health. We work together with dentists and our patients to solve dental problems using customized medications.  Some dental formulations include topical numbing agents, magic mouthwash (mouth rinse for oral ulcers containing various medications), lozenges for oral thrush and lollipops for dry mouth.

Skincare

Wrinkling and sagging of the skin is not just caused by aging. Other contributing factors are sun damage, hormone imbalance, poor skin care, improper nutrition and pollution – all of which result in free radicals that can cause widespread damage to the cells of the body – including the skin.  Our skincare compounds include treatments for fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, hyper pigmentation, acne, rosacea and excessive facial hair growth.
